Edit table dimensions
Within a data view table, you can add and remove dimensions. This allows you to:
- Fine-tune the data you see in the table
- Sort the data based on certain dimensions
- Specify what data to show in the corresponding charts
In this guide, you'll learn how to edit table dimensions.
The justtrack platform doesn't persist changes to table dimensions outside the scope of a session. So, if you open a new tab, browser, or window, you will see the default dimensions.
Before you begin
This guide is relevant for the following data views:
Edit table dimensions
Click Edit dimensions:
This opens a sidebar that you use to edit what dimensions are shown in the table as well as the order in which they're shown.
Add a new dimension
You can have three dimensions in a table. To add a new dimension to the table:
- In the Edit dimensions sidebar, click Add dimension.
- Search for the dimension you want to add.
- Select the dimension.
This will automatically update the table with your new dimension. When you have reached the limit, you'll need to remove a dimension from the table in order to add a new one.
Remove a dimension
There are two ways to remove a dimension from the table:
- In the Edit dimensions sidebar, click the
X
icon next to the dimension you want to remove. - In table, click the
X
icon in the column header for the dimension you want to remove.
Change the order of table dimensions
In the Edit dimensions sidebar, click and drag the dimensions to reorder how they appear in the table. There, the dimensions are displayed from left to right in ascending order.
