Create a new funnel
A funnel is a data view dedicated to analyzing users' in-app behaviors. It consists of steps that mark key events users trigger as they use your app. In justtrack, you can create as many funnels as you need.
In this guide, you'll learn how to create a funnel.
Before you begin
Only admins and managers can create and edit funnels. So, to complete the steps in this guide, you must first be an admin or manager for your account.

Navigate to funnels
In the Main Menu, navigate to APP ANALYTICS > Funnels. This opens the funnels list where you can see details about your funnels.
Click Create funnel.
On the Create funnel page, there are four steps:
- Name your funnel
- Select the type
- Filter events
- Add steps
Name your funnel
In Name your funnel, you'll provide:
- The name of your funnel (required)
- A description for your funnel (optional)
When you provide these, you're ready for the next step.
You'll be able to update the name and description later, even after you create the funnel.
Select the type
There are two types of funnels you can create:
- Standard funnel: Can include any type of event you receive from the justtrack SDK.
- Progression funnel: Includes only
jt_progression
events, but provides more detailed data about each step in the progression.
Select the type of funnel you want to create.
You can't update the funnel type after you create your funnel.
Filter events
In a funnel, steps are based on events. In order to reduce the amount of events available for you to choose, you'll filter the events to just those that you're sending for a particular app. In this step, you'll choose that app by which we'll filter the available events. But don't worry, you'll still be able to view your funnel with any app once it's been created.
If you change it after you've already selected one, you'll reset all the funnel steps you've already configured. So it's best to make sure you select the correct app and platform in this step.
When you've selected an app, it's time to add steps to your funnel.
Add steps
You must have already selected an app before you can add steps.
Now, you'll add up to 50 steps to your funnel. For each event, follow these steps:
- Select an event.
- If you want to filter the event by certain conditions, toggle the "conditions" on.
- Select a condition, and type a value the condition needs to match.
- Add more conditions for the event, if necessary.
You can't add two identical conditions for the same event.
For example, if you want to see how many users are seeing ads, you would:
- Select the
jt_ad
event - Toggle "conditions" on
- Select the
jt_action
condition - Type "show" for the value
When you've added all the steps for your funnel, click Click Create funnel. And that's it! You've created a funnel in justtrack.
