Introducing the partner hub!

We're excited to introduce the partner hub, a simpler way of working with ad partners in justtrack. With the partner hub, we set out to improve the user experience of working with partners, and we achieved it by:

  • Moving partner configurations to the app level
  • Reducing the complexity of partner connect wizards
  • Organized settings to improve readability

In this post, we'll walk you through this exciting new feature, why we made the changes, and where you can find more information.

App-level configuration

The first major change to partner management is that it now happens at the app level:

In the past, you managed partners--formerly known as networks--as top-level entities. You connected and configured partners separate from any apps in your organization. Then, at the app level, you configured app-specific settings.

With the partner hub, we've simplified this workflow! Now, you connect and configure a partner directly in the context of an app. We've taken care to abstract away what we can in the form of integrated partners so you can focus only on what's required in terms of app-specific settings.

To access the partner hub where you can see and manage the partners connected to your app:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Apps.
  2. Select an app.
  3. In the Advertising card, click Manage Integrations.
Definitions
  • Integrated partners are those for which justtrack has done manual work to create connections between their platform and ours.
  • Custom partners are those that you can connect that we haven't already.

Simplified partner wizards

When you connect a partner to your app in justtrack, you use a feature we call the "partner connect wizard". This wizard guides you through the data we need to integrate justtrack with the partner's platform. For example, we may request settings or credentials for accessing partner APIs.

In past versions of the partner connect wizard, we asked for a lot of information, not only for required fields but optional ones as well. This, unfortunately, slowed you down from achieving the ultimate goal: connecting the partner.

With this release, we have simplified the partner connect wizard to reduce the amount of fields necessary to connect the partner. We now only request required fields and, for the optional ones, we choose sane defaults to get you connected quickly.

info

You can always update any field after you initially connect the partner. But more on that later...

Because each partner is uniquely integrated with justtrack, they have different configuration requirements. Depending on the partner you selected, you may see one or more of the following configuration pages:

  • Cost: Here, you'll provide the settings and credentials we'll use to request cost data from the partner.
  • Tracking and attribution: Here, you'll configure your tracking and attribution settings.
  • Postbacks: Here, you'll configure your postback settings.
Field Descriptions

To make things even easier, we've added descriptions to the wizard for all the configurable fields. And, on top of that, we've provided links to documentation on where to find the values.

Organized settings

After you connect your partner, you'll have access to its partner hub. This view acts as a control panel with which you can further configure your connected partner.

The settings you can configure in the partner hub depend on the partner because each partner is integrated differently and offers different features. At launch, you will be able to configure some subset of the following features:

  • Bidding and campaigns: Define the settings and credentials we'll use to sync bidding and campaign details with the partner.
  • Cost integration: Define the settings and credentials we'll use to request cost data from the partner.
  • Creatives: Define the settings and credentials we'll use to sync creatives with the partner.
  • Postbacks: Add, delete, and configure postbacks for the partner.
  • SKAd integration: Define the settings and credentials we'll use to request SKAd attribution data.
  • Tracking and attribution: Define the settings we'll use to communicate tracking and attribution data with the partner.

Other configurable features are on the way! 🚀

That's a wrap!

We're so excited to share about this improved workflow and user experience. With it, you can manage partners more simply and conveniently. Today, you'll be able to:

  • Manage partner configurations at the app level
  • Use our simplified partner connect wizards
  • Configure partners in a more readable way

We know this is a big change, so we've got you covered with lots of documentation for further learning. Check these out to get started:
